People are probably bored of them because they’ve had next to NOTHING to do. Holding hands in a hallway for 2 seconds isn’t the equivalent of a relationship. And it sucks.

It is getting wearing. Well, the love triangles got too much about halfway through the first season, but if they're gonna start taking steady couples and trying to turn them into love triangles, it's just silly. (Tike is about the only other couple I can't see a triangle working for.)
