People are probably bored of them because they’ve had next to NOTHING to do. Holding hands in a hallway for 2 seconds isn’t the equivalent of a relationship. And it sucks.
Because while Finn and Rachel have a multi-episode plot about teenage marriage, Kurt has more of a plotline with his former bully Dave Karofsky than with his own boyfriend. And it’s a damn shame, because there’s so much potential with their relationship. But instead of pushing boundaries, it’s completely understated and played too safe.
And it pisses me off, because Glee used to be about pushing boundaries. It went there. It was a major new show and it had a kid coming out, and his dad supporting him. It had teen pregnancy and it was handled okay, at the time! It pushed a LOT of boundaries. And now Kurt’s got a boyfriend and… yeah, they did the ‘sex’ thing but how was holding hands and staring at each other pushing boundaries? Fully clothed. Singing a cheesy love song over two boys touching fingers and looking at each other isn’t exactly “love-making”. At least they got a kiss or two in that episode, which is more than I can say for the rest of the season.
*heavy sigh* People are probably bored with Kurt and Blaine because there is nothing of interest right now. There is no adorable love proclamations, no songs to sing for their partner, no sweet moments. There’s some occasional looks, some cropped-out kisses, and cut-out christmas ring scenes. A whole load of nothin’.
